that time of the semester

So, I have been busy mugging for exams, and it doesnt help that I have 5 finals worth about 50% each.  I've been trying to either study at home or at ntu cos the li ka shing library is a really bad environment to mug in... germs all over the place, stale air, smell of feet and people who have been studying overnight in the library... ugh. I sound pretty antisocial.

The sky's pretty clear right now. I hope it stays this way until night time.

Grades this semester have been a major disappointment - so far I see nothing higher than a B. Such a stark contrast from my first semester, and it baffles me because I put in so much more effort this sem but the results don't seem to reflect it. So does the problem lie with me? Sometimes I'm so tired of all these tricks fate plays on me, I just want to get a grade that is equivalent to the effort that I've put in.

Being constantly surrounded by people who say they are screwed simply because they got an A- doesn't make me feel any better either, when deep down I'm just praying to get a 3.0. Tbh I'm disliking SMU more and more by the second, and I would say I'm completely regretting my choice to study there, or rather, my choice to study business management over law in the first place. The teaching pedagogy is not one that allows me to study optimally. Times like this make me wish I had gone to Notts, a less cut-throat environment, a complete change away from Singapore's rigid education system. But then again if I had left, I would not have been able to do many things as well - dance, be close to loved ones, etc. Guess we can't have the best of both worlds.

Thoughts of quitting school crossed my mind several times, but I suppose I have to live with the decision, whether right or wrong, that I've made. At least I still have 6 more sems to work hard for. Oh well such is life.

Its the time of the sem where all the projects/assignments are due.
3-4 more weeks of hecticness..... argh.

japan trip postponed cos we won't be able to catch the cherry blossoms, krabi trip settled and tw trip with mummy in the planning! its gonna be an awesome summer  :D

wanna get a camera but don't know what to get. everyone's telling me to get olympus pen but ITS TOO EX. roar. oh well good thing nelson's helping, never knew he was a camera junkie HAHA (qw are you reading this) but anyway i really need a new digicam.

terrible week

the past week was bad!
fell very sick suddenly on thursday during FA class, and i was supposed to give a presentation during twc on that very afternoon omg! we had been preparing for it for so long and even did the final touches in the morning and i just had to fall sick. seriously last warning to my body. really grateful to pinghui kenneth lijun for taking care of me and stuff. caused them so much inconvenience esp my TWC groupies :((

have been prepping for SDD alot recently, school work totally lagging omg and i have like tons of work to be done the next 2 weeks. LQR FOCUS!!

really can't wait till recess week, time to take a breather and play.

hectic

when i'm stressed, i will spend alot of money.
and yea the past 2 weeks spent a hell lot of money on idk what, just blogshopping snapping items and buying more nail polishes.
and so the weird thing was i didnt have new clothes for CNY but after CNY i bought alot of new clothes -.- wrong timing.

I've just been rushing out work for the past week while juggling kraftfunk pracs at night and i've never felt so exhausted before. the worst was after the first bryan prac my whole leg was pain like hell and i had to deal with the stupid MS assignment. and excel kept going haywire i swear i nearly exploded

SICK

so my immune system finally gave way yesterday, after not resting from chiangmai's horribly cold weather and nights of xmas partying. DAMM FLU. its so horrible i couldn't sleep properly yesterday (I kept dreaming that people were moving around forcing me to change my sleep location) and my nose now resembles that of rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

been meeting up with good ol friends the past few days and i couldn't ask for more. miss the hopper girls esp since most of them are in nus puu. MAD shopping trip to bangkok in june/july next year! haha can't wait. hope it'll realise though, bet its gonna be dammm fun!! (ok our costume shopping outings in sg are alr so fun xD)

anyway my phone had sudden death on xmas day, what a timely death -.- so now i'm using iphone 3 and having loads of fun with the camera apps. LOL late bloomer. needs to buy a casing soon though.

oh well. finally dancing again later after more than 3 weeks of absence.

I'm flying off  to Chiangmai tonight. Can't believe its today.

Wish I was back in korea, trekking in the winter cold. Give me a mountain to climb any day man, beats going to build stuff. Seriously why did I sign up for ocsp, no idea. Language barrier's gonna be the main challenge ugh.

Gonna miss dance sessions. omg horrible thought of the choreos i have to catch up with when I get back, plus recapping the old ones, no joke no joke. sigh.

First time going on an ocsp trip. So different from all my previous travelling experiences. No bentos, no camping etc. Don't feel like going anymore, after all, I'm not really destined to travel this year. But oh well money's already paid, just have to go luh. Let's just hope the host family doesn't cook too much spicy food. I'm so gonna lose weight over there. MUST EAT MY MANGO STICKY RICE AT ALL COSTS.

My luggage is awfully small and light. I STRONGLY REFUSE to fly budget next time for trips longer than 1 week. seriously, too much hassle. and its not even that cheap.

Goodbye. I'm gonna miss everything in Singapore this time round. Can't wait to come back and have all the christmas parties and gatherings.

Seems like everyone else is in school smugging/doing project etc. I must be the only one who is slacking away my public holiday. 

Oh well at least I redid my Blaw remedies notes today. roar blaw notes take a terribly long time to compile!! and I cleared away all my JC stuff :'/ feels like I've thrown away 2 years of my life. All the memories of chionging tutorials and all those random scribblings on my notes during lectures.. what a waste. Oh well guess its time to dump em out. 

Went to vivo with the parents ytd. Dam crowded esp with foreign workers who were heading to the casino. And for once I bought something in reality!! Yay a traveller's pouch!

It was part of some artsy exhibition and apparently this was made by impoverished women, so I'm helping to give them a lifeline (okay the brochure said this.)

It doesn't look like its worth $22, I'd prolly find it for cheaper overseas but its okay for charity!!

Gonna bring it to thailand and dump my passport etc inside :D

Long day at school tomorrow. BLEH. and I haven't completed half of my research paper kill meeeee.

mad disappointed

Can't say I'm not.

Only got into waacking.. raar. I really really really wanted to get into a hiphop item this round, having not done proper hiphop since I dunno when. (transcendance? -.- ) But guess I'm simply just not good enough. Almost wanted to pull out of the entire concert (doing 1 item our of 3090254 items is like, hur? Gonna waste dam lot of time stoning during rehearsals what's the point) but I shan't since Bryan's costume in mind seems nice and he's nice (outside of pracs hahh). I'll probably get scolded 102901 times in each training though bahhh.

Not easy to get over the disappointment but I shall work hard and master the art of waacking in 3 inch heels by January. Omg painfulll.

HATE MACBOOK

okay I could probably list out a hundred reasons why macbook sucks. Including how it corrupted my thumbdrive today and now I can't open my biz law notes. yes those notes that I've spent dk how many thousands of hours on. There is no word to quantify my anger/exasperation/desperation. I don't care about the other files, I just want my blaw notes.

What a bad day. And its only Monday. and there's bidding. omg save me please.

omg I don't hope for a super awesome prof, I just hope that I will never ever get sucky freerider group mates ever again.

the horror period is here.
roar okay I just gotta survive till week 11 then I'll be done with most of the work.

I feel kinda sad cos I've been missing out on so many dance events and sessions due to school commitments, sigh! can't wait to go for waacking sessions with the rest, but I think that will be in 2012 -.-

Sad to say, recess week is almost over, and I haven't completed any major assignments/projects sigh.

Recently my luck just keeps going downhill for some unknown reason. I ALWAYS just miss 190 and end up having to wait 20 mins for the next one. seriously what is wrong with smart - 190 coming at 20 mins intervals ?? Then I will meet with a jam, etc. so on average each journey to sch or back from sch take about 75 mins. bleh absolutely waste of time.

Past few days were horrible days, there is so much work to do and I realized how pathetically little friends I have in SMU. the only good things that happened were going to salted caramel and zaihar's open class yesterday. woo! loved the choreo~

I know Steve Jobs just passed away. I'm not a fan of apple products, and I absolutely DISLIKE mac I have no idea why my safari runs soooo slowly i'm switching to chrome soon but he was an extraordinary guy. roar. My safari is seriously loading at a snail's pace and it's annoying me greatly.

Finally done with assignment 2A!!!
my mind feels so much lighter now. haha! although i still have to do formatting + check for weird expressions + think of a title and running head tomorrow before the deadline, at least the bulk of it is done!!

and my mum is so funny she keeps complaining about how she have to wash my clothes separately cos they're all of different colours. Okay so from next week onwards im gonna like wear the same colour tones for an entire week LOL

end of another week

aw is seriously irritating me ALOT.

i'm cranky all day cos i can't seem to do the stupid assignment. hate researching for stuff with so many limitations.

anyway had a nice lunch with pinghui today at glassroom. its like the first time im eating lunch with someone this week LOL antisocial much but it is really difficult to find people to lunch with. and we're going back to hc next thurs again after all the annoying midterms and aw assignments are over. hopefully the security guard will be kind and maybe i should wear a hc tee. can't wait! (:

the weather these days are wonderfully sunless (cold wind ftw!) but not good for health i feel like im gonna fall sick anytime.

I like that the days are flying by december please come soon! chiangmai, bangkok, berboo, sleepovers, fun, fun, fun.
