Eastern Europe Trip - Munich & Salzburg

Finally went on a family europe trip which had been postponed for a year!! Joined Dynasty's tour!

DAY 1

We arrived at Munich airport super early in the morning after a 12 hour flight. Wa I must say that SQ's movies are all outdated =.=

Our luggage. quite little compared to other families.

Anyway I found the 0.99 euro rittersport at the super market in Munich airport and I never saw it at that price again. LOL. should have bouggt more.

On the roads... drizzling =.=

it just had to rain everytime i go travelling!!

We didnt really get to tour munich, just went to a few places, like the BMW museum.

The bmws they had on display were mad huge.

Then we went to the olympic park, which really had nothing. It was just like an empty park. 

Foreign languages T.T I don't even know which is which language.

Rain rain go away.....

Then we headed to the City centre! where the rain cleared a little. Their buildings are all low ones and all joined together.

This is a concert hall i believe. Pretty!!

Shop houses look sooo cuteee and so european. 

The city hall, which was undergoing some renovation works. This is done in GOTHIC style. hahaa the tour guide will always say oh this is a gothic/rococo/renaissance etc style building. and we'll just be like okay, they look all the same.

There was an open air market, and everywhere was selling meat/ bratwurst sausages

We bought the pig's trotters!

This is like only 1/3 of it hahaha it was packed into 3 different packs. SOO humongous.

Anyway, it just tasted like roasted pork.

and blocks of cheese everywhere!!!!!

Bought fresh strawberries! their strawberries are mega sweet and juicy and cheap. super nice.

Bread bigger than my face. LOL

On the other end was a shopping street kinda place. housing all the H&M, mango, luxury brands, zara etc. Didn't really shop much though others in my tour group chionged to grab their longchamp and pradas. Rich people sigh.

This quad singing on the streets. dam cute their costume! and they were selling their own cds too. interesting. In singapore you don't find this kind of busking.

Then we headed for lunchhhhh!

all of us were surprised at first cos it looks so different from our australian apple strudel. its more like an apple tart.

After lunch we headed to Salzburg, austria!

The rebate coupon you get when you pay to go to the toilets. LOL. heart pain leh everytime go toilet have to pay around 1 euro.

Mad pretty country landscape. I love austria!!! it just has a different aura from the other countries.

Started on our city tour immediately once we reached the city at late afternoon :O

The new town and old town were separated by this big river~

I really like how in europe, you still get to see the landscape and sky. Barely see anything else but buildings in Singapore!

There were mozart chocolates for sale, but i didnt buy them cos they contained marzipan haha. pretty cute souvenir though.

A pretty well-known cafe in the area

SUPER AWESOME STRAWBERRY TART. they are super generous with the fillings and its like a decent 3+ euro. super nice!!

And the cafe staff are so efficient. The sky was getting darker, about to rain and they immediately went around closing the outside tables and settling the bill for those outside. The whole outdoor area was shut down in 5 minutes and customers were moved inside! super fast :o

That's all for day 1! 11 more days to go hahaha!

Taobao Haul!

How to buy from Taobao

Taobao Haul for June! haven't bought from taobao in a really long while. But when i do buy from there i make sure its a big haul cos the shipping's soooo expensive.

8KG worth of stuffs, close to $300 monetary value. 

Bought a few pieces of clothing but am too lazy to take photos of them. Generally happy with my loots cause i can fit into all of them.

Bought like 10 pairs of socks cos they were pretty cheap LOL. socks in singapore are so overpriced!!

WAR III

Emix had the annual internal dance battle, WAR, ytd. First hip hop battle for me, and after a long hiatus from freestyling hiphop (ever since i left MAD o.o).

After dance night last year, I focused my all on waacking together with Kraftfunk. one competition after another, one production after another. After so many choreos, I lost the drive to freestyle, even for waacking. Somehow I felt that I had become worse than my waacking course days. and hiphop was neglected entirely haha opps. only after SDD did i start to go for emix trng, fredy trng, sharing sessions...

Anyway I am really thankful to have an equally chill partner, yanling, who understands my busy schedule and is willing to slack with me HAHA. Really, its amazing how our names got chosen randomly to be partners, out of all the other possible partners I could have gotten. But we were dam lazy, and only met up like once to learn tags then revised the tags before the battle itself... in the end all our tags quite shaky LOL. I got this phobia for tags. Having practiced so little we didn't even expect to get into top 8. but somehow we managed to enter finals mostly by luck. 

The feeling i had while battling was entirely different from when we had freestyle sessions back in HC. perhaps it was because we weren't expecting any results and made a decision to just have fun (I was completely fooling around before the comp until yanling also gave up on me LOL), but I truly felt what it was like to dance from the heart, to the music, without planning any spectacular moves. simply, heeding ed's advice, just feeling the music. sidetrack: edward is really dam awesome, I was watching his battle and my mouth is like always open one. so dope!!! i'm gonna bug him to teach me more stuff. he and nik have the same feel as thew! :O

Anw anan was one of the judges. I really missed learning from her T.T once my shifu forever my shifu. I can't quite find an adjective to describe how i was feeling when anan said I had improved from JC days. what ran through my mind was OMG anan can recognise me and she finally knows my name after 3 years!!!! like seriously, ytd was the first time she called me by the name ever since the day i joined mad. the feeling is somewhat like how a mother feels when her baby says their first "mummy" or smth. LOL not exaggerating really. she knows sarah jessica matthew jiale cherie etc everyone else but me and I'm sure she'll forget my name soon but its okay. I'm really happy about this seemingly small thing though. and its so encouraging when your mentors and seniors tell you that they're proud of you :') its really a great deal of motivation for someone like me. okay gotta work harder and continue improving!
