that time of the semester

So, I have been busy mugging for exams, and it doesnt help that I have 5 finals worth about 50% each.  I've been trying to either study at home or at ntu cos the li ka shing library is a really bad environment to mug in... germs all over the place, stale air, smell of feet and people who have been studying overnight in the library... ugh. I sound pretty antisocial.

The sky's pretty clear right now. I hope it stays this way until night time.

Eastern Europe Travelogue: Day 6& 7 - Prague (Czech Republic)

After touring cesky krumlov we headed to prague! the bus journey took away the whole afternoon :( oh well. europe is so big!!
Arrived at prague around evening time! our tour guide offered to bring us out to enjoy the night scenery of Prague. and we took public transport!!

Their trams are sooo empty. what a stark contrast to singapore.

Bus ticket!

Their metro~ their transport system is relatively easy to cheat though. but being law-abiding tourists we still bought our tickets!
Finally arrived in the city centre and the sun was about to set:

CHARLES BRIDGE!
This is the place where dbsk filmed o jung ban hap :D finally visited the place woohoo!

Prague castle across the river.

Illuminated buildings at night!

Czech Republic's soccer team had just won a soccer match the previous night, so we were lucky enough to catch their celebratory fireworks :) It was quite a massive display

We started our city tour the next morning!

First stop, Prague castle!

heehee poor european castle guards who have to keep a straight face even though eveyone was snapping photos of him

MY UGLY CHIPPED GELISH NAIL

Prague's buildings are pretty different!

More churches! Their churches are so majestic :O

Rainy day :(

A bridge where couples tie a knot to!

Wedding~

Had lunch at this little dubious looking cafe off the Wenceslaus square. haha. We were trying to find this michelin restaurant but couldn't find it :( Anyway turned out that the food was really good+ cheap!!

MY PORK KNUCKLE. SO BIG OMG YUMZ I THINK IT WAS ONLY LIKE 15 BUCKS. one of the cheaper places to eat already!

Beef goulash/stew! very different from hungary's and we didnt expect it to be so big!! couldnt finish it :(( but was super yumz!

Wedding car spotted

For tea time we headed to hard rock cafe to chill since there wasnt much to shop around in prague.

First time in hardrock!

Some cheesecake thing that was meh

Some more scenic photos of prague

Cute little colourful buildings! haha. there were damn ALOT of pigeons though

Bistro One Zero Three

Bistro 103 is a humble Italian Bistro located among the shophouses along Pasir Panjang road. You'll just miss it if you didn't look carefully!

The whole restaurant had a very homely+cozy feel to it. super love the feeling :)
Headed there to celebrate le boyfriend's birthday on Friday night! It was still pretty empty when we reached there at 7, but more people started coming throughout the course of our dinner! The owners were super friendly too, I called beforehand to ask them to serve a surprise cake and they remembered and auto brought it out after we finished our main courses :')

Ice cream flavours listed out on the shop glass. Too bad we were too full :( Would have loved to try their icecream!!

Display of beer? aha

We ordered Escargot Au Gratin as our appetiser!
Not a big fan of escargot, but the sauce/cream was super yumz! serve with two generous pieces of perfect garlic bread :)

And of course our main courses!

I ordered the BBQ pork ribs and the serving was woah! haha. The ribs were juicy and not too tough, just right!

And the Kurobuta Pork neck steak! fat pieces of steak haha.

We also had their chocolate cake (which i didnt manage to get a decent photo of) and it was one of the best chocolate cakes I had ever eaten! The layers of cream were chocolatey and firm, not the soft whipped cream kind yumz.

Spend around $80+ for both of us! A pretty decent chill place to have a nice dinner :) Would definitely go back someday (if only it wasnt so out of the way T.T)! Might want to try out their pastas next, saw some pretty good reviews on them :)
